PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
4a. Reflection on practice
For a few years we have worked towards embracing the use BYOT in classroom settings. The LMC has always been an excellent spot for us to find students working collaboratively on their personal devices without the fear of losing a smart device to an unreasonable expectation. Administrators are beginning to see responsible use as these pictures show of students charging devices while sharing research notes and editing documents before submitting to Google Classroom.

4b. Preparing and submitting reports and budgets
4c. Communicating and collaborating within the school
The focus this year was to highlight some of the amazing things happening and available around Carver and Victory High School. This year we kept an up to date and informative Campus website, an active Google+ Community page as well as a carefully curated twitter feed.
All posts served to convey information in a succinct and efficient manner. |
4d. Participating in a professional community
4e. Engaging in professional development
This is about half of the total Professional Development I participated in. Many topics like the Art PD, Presenter's Academy and GT sessions are underrepresented. I got tired of typing them all in.
I attended the Rigor and Relevance conference in Cypress- Fairbanks School District as well. This led to many sessions on leadership that helped me with defusing escalating frustrations with teachers and ABN throughout the course of the year.

4f. Showing professionalism
This year I was tasked with assisting the teachers in all of our classroom movement of technology due to construction. I coordinated movers, installers, students and teachers in a hassle free environment to facilitate this process. I moved away from the practice of emailing and instead used face to face communication with an email backup to communicate procedures to follow.
